Heather Daniel joined the district in August 2023 as the Director of Communications and Policy, leveraging over 30 years of educational experience spanning New Jersey, New York, and Arizona. Her multi-faceted roles include English teacher, library media specialist, staff developer for technology, adjunct professor, columnist, instructional supervisor of technology and digital communications, Director of Curriculum and Assessment, and school communications professional.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Rutgers University and a Master's in Library and Information Science from Long Island University. She has also earned postgraduate certifications in Supervision of Instruction, Leadership in School Communications (AASA/NSPRA), and Social Media Marketing from Cornell University. Heather is currently pursuing her Doctor of Education (Ed.D) in Educational Leadership.

Heather Daniel was awarded the New Jersey Public Relations Association 2024 School Communicator of the Year and serves on the New Jersey School Public Relations State Advisory Committee. She presents locally and nationally on digital communications, strategic school communications, and generative AI tools.
